Background

Rupert qualified in 1977.   He has been a Partner at Newsome Vaughan since 1979 and is currently the firm's Senior Partner.

During his 25 years he has been extensively involved with the firm's management and development and has seen it grow to become one of the largest firms in the City.

Expertise

During his career he has always dealt with commercial property matters for his clients.

His primary focus has been acting for property developers, investors and builders as well as for local businesses in connection with their own property requirements. He has acted for a number of years for a well known local financial institution and also provides support to the specialised work undertaken by the firm for housing associations.

Personal

For 10 years he was Chairman of the Board of Management of Life Path Trust Limited which is one of the leading providers of support to people with learning disabilities in Coventry. He is now a director of Newpath Ventures Limited which provides job related training and employment opportunities to people with learning disabilities.

Married with two teenage children, Rupert lives in Warwick and his main hobbies are playing squash and tennis.
