Newsome Vaughan – Dragon Boat Race 2007

Members of Newsome Vaughan took part in the annual Dragon Boat Race at Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday 13th May 2007 raising lots of sponsorship money for The Anthony Nolan Trust, the organisers of the event.
 
The weather was diabolical, it rained and rained, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the team members, in fact it made it alot more fun.  There was a great turn out of supporters who all enjoyed the soggy sandwiches and sausage rolls.
 
The team in traditional fashion did not do very well but did finally manage a very good time in their last heat.  Team spirit was extremely high and so much fun was had for such a worthwhile cause.
 
The team is in practice for another Dragon Boat Race in September – The winning medal just may be ours!
